Ian Campbell, P.Geo.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Campbell was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer in October 2005, having previously held the offices of Vice-President, Exploration (2002-2005) and Executive Vice-President (2005) of Temex and has been a Director of Temex since 2001. Mr. Campbell has 30 years of experience in the junior mining sector, and has been directly involved in the acquisition, exploration and financing of the company's precious metal portfolio. Prior to Temex, he held lead roles in the acquisition and exploration of numerous advanced precious and base metals projects in Canada and led the team that discovered the extension of the Goldstream Mine in British Columbia which was subsequently mined by Imperial Metals. Mr. Campbell has extensive experience liaising with First Nation groups in Ontario including the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in (1999). He served a four year term on the Ontario Geological Survey Technical Committee, acting as Chair for a one year term during the $29 million Operation Treasure Hunt (1998-2001), in which he represented junior mining companies operating in Ontario on behalf of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. Mr. Campbell is a graduate of Lakehead University (B.Sc. Geology, 1982), and is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (2002).
Edward J. Badida, CA
Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Secretary
Mr. Badida is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years of financial management and corporate governance experience. Mr.Badida also currently serves as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Patagonia Gold PLC. Mr. Badida has served as CFO and/or has been a board member of several companies listed on either the TSX or TSX-V over the past 25 years. Mr. Badida has also held management positions with accounting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG.
Karen Rees, P.Geo.
Vice President, Exploration
A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (B.Sc. Geology, 1984), Ms. Rees has 25 years of mineral exploration experience working in a wide range of capacities including senior project manager, exploration manager, and project geologist for several publicly listed companies. Karen began her geological career in 1987 exploring for gold in the Red Lake mining camp for Noramco Exploration, followed by gold and base metal exploration in northern Manitoba and northern Saskatchewan for Noranda Exploration. Working with Temex since 2003, Ms. Rees has been instrumental in the development of the precious metals portfolio and corporate growth through establishment of best practices for communications, governance and management. Prior to joining Temex, Ms. Rees was General Manager, Exploration of Avalon Ventures Ltd. which explored precious and rare metals projects in northwestern Ontario. Ms. Rees is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (2002) and serves on the Human Resources Development Committee of the PDAC.
